Kauai Sands sold by Kimi family in late 2006 to Consolidated Resorts. Believe Consolidated resorts lost the proprrty as result of bankruptcy. Niu Pia Land Company LTD bought at auction in 2012. Property managed by Aqua Hospitality. A member of the Kimi family opened Beachwalk Restaurant at the former Scotty's location.
